Dorothy "Dot" Sellers

March 23, 1936 — January 3, 2011

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Dorothy Marie Ledet Sellers, 74, who died Monday, January 3, 2011 at her residence.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Father Scott DesOrmeaux officiating the services and Father Donald Theriot concelebrating.

Dot’s life-long joys included traveling, camping, her patio, plants and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Paul Daniel Sellers; two sons, Phillip and his wife Joan of Abbeville, Wayne and his wife Cindy also of Abbeville; two grandsons, Jason Sellers and Andy Sellers; two granddaughters, Julie Noegel and Ashley Foreman; three great grandsons, Braden Sellers, Isaac Sellers and Owen Noegel; one great granddaughter, Cadence Foreman; and one brother, Walter Ledet.

She was preceded in death by her father, Camile Ledet; her mother, Esther Bergeron Ledet; four brothers, Sidney Ledet, Dudley Ledet, Francis Ledet and J.C. Ledet; and three sisters, Velta Derouen, Clara Patterson and Irene Brasseaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. The family will reopen on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, from 8:00 a.m. until to time of services.
