Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Edgar Gaspard Jr., 59, who died Friday, January 7, 2011 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Mr. Donnie Crane officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of two years, Karen Gaspard of Kaplan; four sons, Kim Gaspard and his wife, Melinda of Kaplan, Brandon Keim of Kilbuck, Ohio, Toby Gaspard and his wife, Kayla of Kaplan and Justin Harris of Kaplan; three daughters, Tracy and her husband, Brian Harrington of Kaplan, Meglaurel and her husband, Brian Smith of Kilbuck, Ohio and Kara Harris of Kaplan; five sisters, Ruby, Olite, Rena, Sel and Velma; three brothers, Edward, William and Pervis; and eleven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Gaspard Sr. and the former Lella Touchet; his first wife, Barbara Menard Gaspard; and two sisters, Evelia and Gurdy.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Saturday, January 8, 2011 from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.; Sunday, January 9, from 9 a.m. until services.
