Ouida "Bee" Bertrand

Gueydan—Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 13, 2011 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Ouida "Bee" Bertrand, 79, who died Monday, January 10, 2011 at American Legion Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Jason Vidrine officiating the services.

She is survived by four sons, Jimmie Bertrand and his wife, Terry of Hobbs, New Mexico, Logan Bertrand and his wife, Selina of Hephzibah, Georgia, Randall Bertrand and his wife, Sharla of Jennings and Robert Lee Bertrand and his wife, Hope of Gueydan; one daughter, Zenith Petry and her husband, Lee Roy "Booga" Petry of Gueydan; two sisters, Bernice B. Suire and Eula B. Gary, both of Gueydan; nine grandchildren, Kellie Bertrand, Krystal B. O'Connor, Amanda "Niki" Cormier, Heath Lee Bertrand, Casey Bertrand, Celima Bertrand, Anna Petry, Oland Petry and Samantha Petry; and five great grandchildren, Dalton and Dillon Williams, Krislynn and Jay Cormier and Kenzleigh Bertrand.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oland "Bee" Bertrand; her parents, Januis Breaux
and the former Pazie Trahan; and two brothers.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.; Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 9 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
