Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Theresa Catholic Church honoring the life of Wallace Lee Conner, 80, who died March 26, 2007 at his residence. He will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Pecan Island with Reverend Bill Rogalla officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Bryan Veazey, Leonard Bourque, Jr., Roger Dale Broussard, Derrick Shane Conner, Victor Lee Conner, Jr. and David Sikes. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ruby Broussard Conner of Abbeville; two sons, Adrian "Duke" Conner and his wife Helen of Pecan Island and Victor Lee Conner and his wife Peggy of Corinth, Mississippi; one daughter, Jacqueline Conner Broussard and her husband Ervis Broussard of Pecan Island; one brother, Robert Conner of Thibodaux; two sisters, Margaret Bourque of Kaplan and Shirley Lege' of Pecan Island; stepchildren, Gloria Bradberry, Betty Guilbeaux, Prentice Guilbeaux and Helen Broussard; four grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rose Marie Broussard Conner; one son, Joseph Conner; his father, Alga Conner; his mother the former, Mathilda Monte'; stepmother, Mable V. Conner; and one sister.. Mona Lou Conner. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Tuesday, March 27th from 2:00 p.m. until time of services on Wednesday.
