ABBEVILLE- Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 31, 2007 at a 11 :30 a.m.. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Leo John Montet, 69, who died March 28, 2007 at Heart Hospital of Lafayette. He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Mr. William Rogalla officiating the services. Mr. Leo will be missed and remembered by many who knew him from driving the school bus. He was employed with the Vermilion Parish School Board Transportation Department for more than 38 years. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Simon Montet; three children, Ricky Montet and his wife Shirley, Jodie M. Sagrera and her husband Gary, and Kim Montet and his wife Wendy; twelve grandchildren, James Montet, Marcus Montet, Trenton Montet, Shalan Montet, Kaleyn Montet, Cecil Montet, Dusty Knight, Benjamin Sagrera, Elizabeth Duhon, Brentny Hess, Kimberly Montet and Scottie Montet; eleven great grandchildren; and two brothers, Freddie Montet, Jr. and his wife Paulette and Leward Montet and his wife Marjorie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Freddie Montet, Sr. and the former Exodie Duhon. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Friday, March 30th from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 .m. with a rosary 0 e prayed at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, March 31st from 8:00 a.m, until time of services.
