Maude Ellen Blackburn Megison

She will be laid to rest at her husband's ancestral cemetery at St. James Cemetery with Deacon Randy Hyde officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Preston Summers, Ellis Bordelon, Lloyd Campisi, Alvin (Sandy) Sandoz Jr., Jarred Latiolais and Michael Megison.
She was a loving and giving mother, wife and grandmother who will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. John W. Megison; two sons, Philip David, Jr. and Jamie M. David; stepchildren, Analyn Grace Megison, Michael J. Megison and Mary Megison Latiolais; and grandchildren, Corinne E. David, Jace M. David, Alaraby Megison and Sebastion Megison.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Madge Blackburn and her stepfather, James H. Blackburn of Pass Christian, MS.; and brother, George Wheatley.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Monday, January 17, 2011 from noon until time of services.
