Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Monday, January 31, 2011 at a 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Margaret Cessac Broussard, 92 entered into eternal peace on Friday, January 28, 2011.
She will be laid to rest at St. James Cemetery with Father Scott DesOrmeaux officiating the services.
Mrs. Broussard was born in Esther, Louisiana. She resided in Abbeville for most of her years and lived in Sulphur for the past 11 years. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Sulphur , member of the Abbeville Catholic Daughters Association and St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.
She will be most remembered for her hearty laugh and giving personality. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and aunt. Her greatest times were those spent with her family.
She leaves to honor her memory, a son/daughter-in-law Johnny and Beryl Broussard of Sulphur, LA; daughter/son-in-law, Thomas and Judy Perry of Haughton, LA; two step daughters, Vickie Dupuy and her husband, Robert of Marksville, LA and Carolyn Guerrero and her husband, Dennis of Kerrville, TX; grandchildren, Stacie Cryer and her husband, Kirk of Sulphur, LA, Jason Perry of Haughton, LA, Patrick Broussard of Sulphur, LA, Angela Broussard of Sulphur, LA. Amy Domingue of Sulphur, LA, Boobie Domingue of Sulphur, LA and Stephanie Morgan of Haughton; twelve great grandchildren, Ryan Cryer, Candice Cryer, Jonathan Newman, Brent Newman, Allie Domingue, Krista Broussard, Kelsey Broussard, Lillian Broussard all of Sulphur, LA and Erin Perry, Cole Perry, Keith Morgan and Cody Morgan all of Haughton, LA; and two great great grandchildren, Caleb Cryer and Madisyn Trahan both of Sulphur, LA.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Gladu Broussard, second husband, Elson Broussard; brother, Lawrence Cessac; and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pierre Cessac, Jr.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, January 30, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Monday, January, 31, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
