Mrs. Clement Hebert

February 2, 1920 — January 30, 2011

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Eunice Touchet Hebert, 90, who died Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Abbeville General Hospital.

She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Ricky Faul, Rick Faul II, Scott Weaver, Blake Weaver, Chris Hebert, Ethan Hebert and Shannon Luquette.


She was best known for the hard work at the many different businesses she and her husband owned. They were the owners of Hebert's Meat Market and Slaughter House, Cajun Downs Race Track and Clem's Dance Hall. She also loved spending time in her very productive gardens. Not to mention her beautiful peach trees she was so proud of. But by far her greatest love was for her three children, four granchildren and nine great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by many.


She is survived by her son, Doris Hebert; four grandchildren, Chris Hebert, Donna L. Faul, Joetta L. Weaver and Shannon Luquette; nine great grandchildren, Ethan Hebert, Gavin Hebert, Blake Weaver, Jansen Weaver, Madyson Weaver, Rick Faul, Abbi Faul, Jenna Luquette and Anna Marie Luquette; one brother, Minos Touchet; and three sisters, Bernice T. Duhon, Edley T. Broussard and Mavis Touchet Mallet.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clement J. Hebert; parents, Jousin Touchet and the former Evella Gaspard; daughters, JoAnne Hebert and Marjorie H. Luquette; brothers, Alpha Touchet and Lennis Touchet; and sisters, Anola T. LeBlanc and Eda T. Abshire Campbell.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Wednesday, February 2, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her sitters, Myrtis Bufford, Veronica Hargrave, Mavis Luquette and Jenny Richard for their loving care and attention they provided.
