Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at First Presbyterian Church at 4:00 p.m. honoring the life of Edna Mae Landry Meaux, 83, who died April 09, 2007 at Eastridge Nursing Home.
She will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery.
Edna Mae was a retired elementary school teacher with the Vermilion Parish School system for over 20 years. She was a member of the Vermilion Parish and State of Louisiana Retired Teachers Association. She was an elder at the First Presbyterian Church. She was one of the original members of the Relay for Life and a volunteer at Abbeville General Hospital. She was a club member of the Lacoterie de Mercredi
She is survived by her husband, Weddley Meaux; three sons, Larry Landry and his wife Carol of Florida, Clyde Landry and his wife Jean of Colorado and Glen Landry and his wife Lisa of Baton Rouge; one brother, Guy Broussard; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Broussard and the former Edna White; first husband, Donald Landry; three sons, Daniel Landry, Cecil Landry and Dale Landry; and two brothers, Ray Broussard and Jay Rex Broussard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed Thursday, april 12th from 12 noon until services.
