Raymond Joseph Hebert

October 29, 1929 — February 3, 2011

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Monday, February 7, 2011 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Raymond Joseph Hebert, 81, who died Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

He will be laid to rest at Hebert Cemetery with Reverend William C. Blanda officiating the services. Pallbearers will be, Nicholas Hebert, Anthony Hebert, Jacque Hebert, Raymond John Hebert, Damien Hebert and Jake Hebert.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Anna Belle Hebert; five sons, Stephen Hebert and wife Denise, Paul Hebert and wife Denise, John Hebert and wife Drusilla, Joseph Hebert and wife Angella, and Luke Hebert and wife Dawn; two daughters, Mary Hebert Comeaux and husband Randy and Miriam Hebert Conner; three sisters, Lillian Broussard, Lelia Shaw and Philo Suire; twenty four grandchildren and twenty seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanislaus and Celestine Ricaud Hebert; daughter, Elezabeth Hebert, grandchildren, Tricia Meyers and Gabrielle Conner; three sisters, Alphonsine Bares, Angelina Hebert and Louise Broussard; and four brothers, Louis, Claude, Wilton and Alton Hebert.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, February 6, 2011 from noon until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. and Monday, from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
