Denis Joseph Touchet

April 16, 1913 — February 11, 2011

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Denis Joseph Touchet, 97, who died Friday, February 11, 2011 at Eastridge Nursing Center.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Father William Blanda officiating the services. Pallbearers include Greg Harrington, Bryan Touchet, Steven Trahan, Michael Broussard, Tyler Harrington, Etienne Trahan and Emile Trahan.

He is survived by his wife, Amy P. Touchet of Abbeville; daughter, Joan T. Harrington and husband Kenneth "My Love" of Abbeville; grandchildren, Greg Harrington, Jackie Trahan, Suzette Broussard, and Bryan Touchet; great grandchildren, Tyler Harrington, Kennedy Harrington, Etienne Trahan, Emile Trahan, Luke Broussard, Phillip Broussard and Thomas Broussard, Kylie Touchet and Cannon Touchet.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Annie Delcambre Touchet; father, Arcade Touchet; mother, Leah Belaire Touchet; son, Glen Touchet and brother, Emery Touchet.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Monday, February 14, 2011 from 3:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. The family will reopen on Tuesday, February 15, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
