Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Aline S. Dronet, 92, who died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Donald Leger officiating the services.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty Jane Dronet of Kaplan; one sister, Florence "Flo" S. Vincent of Kaplan; one godchild, Verline and her husband John Marceaux of Abbeville; great nephew, Eric Marceaux and his wife Allyson of Abbeville; one great-great niece, Anne' Marie Marceaux; three great-great nephews, Ethan Matthews, Andrew and Alexander Marceaux; two nephews, Kenneth Vincent and his wife Virginia of Monroe and Lenwood Schexnider and his wife Betty of Lafayette; two nieces, Sally and her husband Tom Campbell of Kaplan and Linda and her husband Marshall Hebert of Forked Island; four great nieces, Monica Matthews, Marchelle Abshire, Jamie Scott and Tammy Schexnider; five nephews, Ryan Vincent, Bart and Lance Campbell, Marty Hebert and Quinn Schexnider.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew "Chin" Dronet; her parents, Bernard Schexnider and the former Erita Harrington; and two brothers, Duplex Langlinais and Doris Schexnider and one great-great niece, Alana Matthews.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, February 18, 2011 from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Saturday, February 19, from 8 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
