A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2007 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, honoring the life of Pearl Cecelia Bourgeois Trahan, 97, who died Thursday, April 19, 2007 in Hemphill, TX. She was born on September 21, 1909. She was the wife of the late Francis Trahan.
A native of Abbeville, she resided in Hemphill, TX since 1998.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra (Mrs. James LeBouef); one granddaughter, Christine Townley and husband Gregory, three grandsons, Timothy and wife Tessie, Marshall and wife Pam, Scott and friend Debbie; great-grandsons, Preston (PJ) Townley and wife Janise, Kerry and Logan Trahan, Dylan and Zane Trahan; great-granddaughters, Jennifer Townley and friend Ray Duhon, Maggie Landry, Mallory and Morgan Trahan, Sarah and Isabel Trahan; great-great-grandchildren, Christian and Elizabeth Townley and Daylan Hebert.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Bourgeois; sister, Lydia Bourgeois Wood; son, Larry Gene Trahan and her parents, Pierre Onezime Bourgeois and Louise Villemez Bourgeois, and a great-grandson, Keb Dale Townley.
Pallbearers will be James LeBouef, Gregory and Preston Townley and Marshall and Scott Trahan.
Visitation will be at Vincent Funeral Home 209 South Saint Charles St. Abbeville Friday April 20, 2007, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday April 21, from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
