Ruby Trahan Roy

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Ruby Trahan Roy, 82, who died Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at her residence.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Roy and his wife, JoLane of Erath, Preston Roy of Abbeville and Troy Roy of Abbeville; two daughters, Effie R. Stansbury of Houston, TX and Peggy R. Gaspard and her husband, Kenneth of Abbeville; six grandchildren, Rob Roy, DeEtte Bigot, Dominica Meaux, Frankie Stansbury, Pamela Monteleone and Beau Harrington; and eight great grandchildren, Kullen Stansbury, Brennan Roy, Bryce Bigot, Claire Roy, Taylor Meaux, Gabriella Monteleone, Preston Monteleone and Beau Harrington, Jr..

She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Roy; parents, Walter Trahan and the former Effie Stelly; and son-in-law, Larry Stansbury.
