Newton "Bea" Suire

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Newton "Bea" Suire, 84, who died Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Robert Wells officiating the services.

He was born and raised in Kaplan who worked as a rice farmer all of his life. He and his wife opened Suire's Grocery Store October 4, 1976.

He is survived by his former spouse of 47 years, Mary D. Oels of Kaplan; daughters, Cheryl Schexneider and husband, Donnie of Kaplan, Kathy Broussard and husband, Gerald of Abbeville, Dot Breaux and husband, Bobby of Kaplan, Joan Suire of Kaplan and Lisa Frederick and husband, Duane of Kaplan; grandchildren, Adam Schexneider and wife, Kelly and their children, Brett and Madison, Matt Broussard and wife, Joy and their son, Kaleb, Holly Broussard, Haley B. Arnett and husband, Matt, Skyla B. Boudreaux and husband, Kuehlin and their son, Kade, Trisha Breaux and fiancé, Lawrence Jones and Brook Bufford and husband, Joshua; an uncle, Andrew "Guy" Suire of Kaplan; one brother, Luther Suire of Kaplan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Suire and the former Marie Schexnider; brothers, Paul, Alexander, Willie, Wilton, Rixby Sr., and Essie Marceaux and Dalton and Hugh Suire; and one sister, Dorothy Suire Broussard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.; Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 10 a.m. until services.
