Elaine Cormier Broussard

January 17, 1948 — March 18, 2011

Gueydan—Funeral services will be held Monday, March 21, 2011 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Elaine Cormier Broussard, 63, who died Friday, March 18, 2011 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Jason Vidrine officiating the services.

She is survived by her significant other, Bobby Channell of Gueydan; three sons, Dwayne Broussard of Forked Island, Gerard Broussard of Gueydan and Blaine Broussard of Maurice; three daughters, Tammy Richard of Gueydan, Angela Mallett of Gueydan and Christina Broussard of Morse; one brother, Ronnie Cormier of Gueydan; and thirteen grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Broussard; mother, Annie Lunsford; stepfather, Edward Lunsford; father, Lonnie Cormier; one grandson, Adam Jude Richard; and one brother, Lonnie Cormier Jr.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 2 p.m. until services with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. Sunday evening.
