Floy Richey Derveloy

June 11, 1923 — March 22, 2011

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Floy Richey Derveloy, 87, who died Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at American Legion Hospital.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Fr. Scott DesOrmeaux officiating the services.

She is survived by her two sons, Leon "Sonny" Derveloy and his wife, Barbara of Abbeville and Kenneth Derveloy and his wife, Gretchen of Egan; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Derveloy; parents, George H. Richey and the former Mel McClelland;a son, Melvin Derveloy; two brothers, Melvin Richey and C.L. Richey; and sister, Leona Mae Leger.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
