Mary Mccloy Tucker

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 4, 2007, at Abbeville United Methodist Church honoring the life of Mary McCloy Tucker, 85, who died Sunday, April 29th at Willis Knighton Hospital in Bossier City. She will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery in Abbeville immediately following.
Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister-in-law who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was a long-time resident of Abbeville and since 2002 has lived in Bossier City.
Mary was born on March 7, 1922, in West Reading, Pennsylvania. She is survived by her son Robert Tucker, Jr. and his wife June of Omaha, Nebraska, her daughter Susan Tucker Thompson and her husband Larry of Bossier City, six grandchildren, Kara Tucker and Robert “Bobby” Tucker, III of Glen Burnie, Maryland, Jake Edwards of Blacksburg, Virginia, Zackery Edwards of Grand Island, Nebraska, Meghan Menard and Ryan Menard of Bossier City, one great-grandchild, Elias Gatton of Glen Burnie, Maryland, two sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen McCloy of Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, and Lynda Lu Hudgins and her husband C.G. Hudgins of Baytown, Texas, nephews Bruce and Gary Hudgins and their wife’s Lori and Shelly, respectively, niece’s Nancy Tucker of San Antonio, Texas, Carolyn Longbotham and her husband Gerald Longbotham of Baytown, Texas, Brenda Holmquist and her husband Hugh of Burwell, Nebraska, Pam Thompson of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Julie Swaney and her husband David, Ferne Dornes and her husband “Mick” (Harold) Dornes of Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, Peggy Pisanick and her husband Cyril (Cy) of Reading, Pennsylvania and Mary Spengler and her husband Fred (Clayton) Spengler of Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, and numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Tucker, her parents, Patrick and Mary McCloy, her sisters Peggy and Pat, and her brothers James, Harold and Joseph.
The family would like to extend its deepest appreciation to her caregivers in the Garden House at Merrill Gardens, Bossier City, Louisiana.
Pallbearers will be Robert Tucker III, Ryan Menard, Larry Thompson, C.G. Hudgins, Bruce Hudgins and Gary Hudgins.
Visitation will be at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St Charles Street, Abbeville on Thursday, May 3th from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, May 4th from 8:00 a.m. until the time for the service at 11:00.
