Memorial
services will be held Saturday,
May 12, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. in St.
Mary Magdalen Catholic Church
honoring the life of Jeannette
Montagne Motty, 81, who died
May 05, 2007 at her residence.
Reverend William Blanda will
officiate at the services.
Jeannette was born on May
22, 1925 in Houma, Louisiana.
She is a graduate of Mount
Carmel in Abbeville. In 1945 she
married Francis "Chanky" Motty.
A big thanks to all of her
caregivers who did such a great
job taking care of "Ms. J" as they
lovingly referred to her. She
taught several of them to play
the card games she loved to
play.
She is survived by two
siblings, Marian Montagne
McDade and John F. Montagne;
four children, Susan Motty,
Andre' Motty, Nanette Motty
Mouton and Steve Motty; eight
grandchildren, Shane Motty,
Dodi Perry Fontenot, Chad
Motty, Andrea Motty Humble,
Natalie Perry, Jill Motty
Primeaux, Jarrod Motty and Matt
Motty; and twelve great
grandchildren, Dylan Fontenot,
Drew Fontenot, Danielle
Fontenot, Drake Fontenot, Mia
Duhon, Jarrod Motty, Jr.,
Jonathon Motty, Bailey
Primeaux, Kamren Primeaux,
Mackie Motty, Brennan Motty,
and Madison Motty.
She was preceded in death
by her parents, Fernand John
Montagne and the former Odette
St. Martin; her husband, Francis
"Chanky" Motty; one son,
Francis "Frank" Motty, Jr.; and
one great grandson, Brant Cole
Broussard.
