Funeral services were held Monday May 7, 2007 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Leroy honoring the life of Raywood Paul Meaux, 74, who died Saturday May 5, 2007 at South West Medical Center in Lafayette. Burial followed in the Leroy Community Cemetery.
Mr. Meaux is survived by his wife of fifty years, Dolores Campbell Meaux of Meaux,; two sons, Tim Meaux and wife Marlyn of Abbeville and Mark Meaux and wife Lisa of Morgan City; two daughters, Dianna Gaspard and her husband Minos of Meaux, and Jessica Latiolias and her husband Glenn of Meaux; one sister Janice Lege of Rayne; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Meaux and the former Elda Mouton; a son, Joseph Meaux; two brothers, Dudley Meaux and Pete Meaux; two sisters Maudrey Boyd and Marlene Brignac; a granddaughter, Mary Gaspard and one great-grandchild, Zachary Pickens.
Visitation was held on Sunday May 6, 2007 at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South ST. Charles Street, Abbeville, LA from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m. and on Monday May 7, 2007 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville conducted the funeral arrangements.
