Lannie Marceaux

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Friday, April 8, 2011 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Lannie Marceaux, 95, who died Thursday, April 7, 2011. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Joshua Simon, Joey Simon, Juan Landry, Jude Landry, Dylan Schexnayder, and Shawn Meaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Landry, Jacob Simon, and Cade Guidry.

Lannie Marceaux was a truly amazing woman. She was a devoted mother and grandmother that will be greatly missed by many. She passed in the comfort of her granddaughter's home surrounded by her family. She is the widow of Ellic Meaux Sr. and of Adam Roache.

She is survived by four sons, Alcide Meaux of Kaplan, Anthony "Tony" Meaux and his wife, Willie of Kaplan, Francis Meaux of Kaplan, and Ellic Meaux Jr. and his wife, Karen of Bridge City, Texas; one sister, Virgie Vincent of Victoria, Texas; one brother, Willis Marceaux of Lumberton, Texas; 17 grandchildren, Mike Brohen, T-Jared Meaux, Natasha Meaux, Lakesha Meaux, Cassi Meaux, Melissa Mire, Donna McDaniel, Carlene Landry, Catherine Simon, Clarissa Guidry, Tracey Meaux, Shannon Meaux, Michelle Babineaux, Alicia Easley, Amanda Rios, Nicole Meaux, and Shawn Meaux; as well as, 35 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Marceaux and Exodie Richard Marceaux; three daughters, Betty Ann Joyce Meaux, Louann Meaux, and Earlene Meaux; one son, Wilton Jared Meaux Sr.; and one granddaughter, Dawn Meaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, April 8, 2011 from 9 a.m. until the procession departs for the church. A rosary will be prayed at 11:30 a.m.
