Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Monday, April 11, 2011 at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Weida Trahan, 78, who died Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

She is survived by her three sons, Gregory Landry and his wife, Tina of Lafayette, David Landry and his wife, Susan of Kaplan and Russell Landry and his wife, Mary of Killeen, TX; three daughters, Deborah and her husband, Wayne Bertrand of Kaplan, Lee Anna and her husband, Bobby Dale Campbell of Kaplan and Christina Frederick of Kaplan; one sister, Audrey Landry of Kaplan; 11 grandchildren, Ashley Davis, Ronnie Mire, Noah Landry, Russell Landry Jr., Gregory Allen Landry, Colton Landry, Dominque Landry, Marcus Campbell, David Tyler Landry, Gavin Johnson and Aydan Johnson; and two great grandchildren, Jailyn Campbell and Emily Davis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lelia Trahan; two sons, Daniel Landry and John Allen Landry Jr.; her granddaughter, Nichole Campbell; three brothers, Alcee, Leroy, and Abie Trahan.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 12 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Monday, April 11, from 8 a.m. until 10:45 when the procession will depart for the church.
