Jowood Broussard

December 5, 1919 — April 12, 2011

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Friday, April 15, 2011 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Jowood Broussard, 91, who died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at his reseidence.

He will be laid to rest at Abshire Cemetery with Reverend Joseph Breaux officiating the services.

He is survived by his brother, Mabry Broussard; special friend, Eunice Broussard and her five children; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Meaux Broussard; parents, Jules Broussard and the former Azalie Schexnayder; two brothers, Ellis Broussard and Eldes Broussard; and sister, Beulah Richard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, April 15, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
