Carla Sue Monic

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Carla Sue Monic, 61, who died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

Carla Sue was a long time dedicated employee of Kaplan Telephone Company who previously served as secretary to Lytle Turnley before becoming a customer service representative for Pace Communications.

She is survived by one daughter, Chantina Stelly and her husband, Chad of Kaplan; one son, Rory Landry and his wife, Tiffany of Kaplan; four grandchildren, Coy Stelly, Kamryn Landry, Kohen Landry and Kyla Landry; and three brothers, Calvin Monic and his wife, Linda of Lafayette, Shelton "Shine" Monic and his wife, Mary of Kaplan, and Lovelace Monic and his wife, Darcuss of Nunez.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Alice Monic.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Thursday, April 14, from 8 a.m. until services.
