Charlotte Ann Bertrand

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 11, 2007 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church honoring the life of Charlotte Ann Bertrand, 54, who died May 08, 2007 at Abbeville General Hospital. She will be laid to rest in St. Paul Cemetery with Father Chester Arceneaux officiating the services.
She is survived by her mother, Florence East Romero of Abbeville; father and step-mother, Otto and Neila Bertrand of Abbeville; half brother, Richard Dale Bertrand of Rayne; step brothers, Weston Romero and wife Carol; Tommy Doucet and Craig Doucet; step-sisters, Tina Romero, Helen Romero, Peggy Frederick, Judy Aubin, Brenda Doucet;, several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and the daughter she never had Lisa Roy and husband Clint.
She is preceded in death by her step-father, Sylvain “Bee” Romero; maternal grand parents; Mr. and Mrs. John East and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Semar Bertrand; aunts, Agnes Badeaux and husband Alfred and Inez East; and one uncle, Walter Bertrand Sr. and wife Hortense.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Thursday, May 10th from 11:30a.m.until 10:00p.m., with a rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, May 11th from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
Charlotte was a member of the St. Therese Ladies Altar Society, the Heavenly Rose Petals and Les Femmes des Chapeau Rouge Chapters of the Red Hat Society. Charlotte was a friend and an inspiration to her friends and all who knew her. She will greatly missed by family and friends.
