Warren Stelly

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Monday, May 2, 2011 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne Catholic Church honoring the life of Warren Stelly, 64, who died Friday, April 29, 2011 at Lafayette General Medical Center. He will be laid to rest at St. Anne Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be "T.J." Thompson, Josh Newman, R.P. Marceaux, Hildrie Stelly Jr., Sandrus Stelly Jr., Victor Stelly, Adlar Stelly and Reagan Guidry. Honorary pallbearers will be Marty Courville, Aaron Lowe and Presley Dore'.

Mr. Warren was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed shrimping, hunting, fishing, trapping, and cross-stitching.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jeanette Noel Stelly of Cow Island; one daughter, Amy Stelly and her husband, James Thompson of Indian Bayou; three sons, Jamie Stelly and his wife, Dawn of Cow Island, Toby Stelly and his wife, Veronica of Cow Island and Carl Stelly and his wife, Brooke of Nunez; his parents, Hildrie Stelly Sr. and Lula Mae Richard Stelly of Forked Island; four sisters, Brenda and her husband, Robert Guidry of Pecan Island, Betty and her husband, Stanley Cormier, Sarah and her husband, Ronald Guidry and Faye Stelly, all of Forked Island; three brothers, Ravis Stelly and his wife Penny, Sandrus Stelly and his wife, Delores and Hildrie Stelly Jr. and his wife, Charlotte, all of Forked Island; eleven grandchildren, Natachia and her husband, Adlar Stelly, "T.J." Thompson, Heather and her husband, Wilbert Touchet, Jenny and her husband, Cody Bearb, Trevor Stelly, Brittany Thompson, Shae Stelly, Victor Stelly, Carly Stelly, Jon' Vea Stelly and Addyson Stelly; and three great grandchildren, Emma, Bailey and Adalyn Stelly.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman and Aladdin Stelly.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, May 1, 2011 from 1 p.m. until Monday, May 2, 2011 at 1:15 p.m. when the procession departs for the church. A rosary will prayed at 7 p.m. Sunday.
