Cindy Meaux

January 12, 1963 — April 30, 2011

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Kaplan Baptist Church honoring the life of Cindy Meaux, 48, who died Saturday, April 30, 2011 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Nunez Baptist Cemetery with Reverend Noah Langley officiating the services.

She is survived by her fiance, Herbert Hargrave of Kaplan; her mother, Joyce R. Meaux of Kaplan, two daughters, Shantell Vice and her husband, Corey of Forked Island and Alana Ganus and her husband, Lance of Rhome, Texas; three sisters, Melinda Harrington and Marlene Farris, both of Kaplan and Joyce Touchet of Forked Island; three brothers, Richard Meaux and Sidney P. Meaux Jr., both of Kaplan and Freddie Meaux Sr. of Gueydan; and six grandchildren, Jordan Vice, Hunter Vice, Sage Vice, Cameron Ganus, Keaton Ganus and Ashton Ganus.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sidney P. Meaux Sr.; maternal grandparents, Rena Fontenot Reed and Doris Reed Sr.; cousin Marcus Dwayne Reed; and niece, Karly Touchet.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
