Marie "Taunt Bud" Derouen

March 17, 1927 — April 28, 2011

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Marie Derouen, 84, who died Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

She is survived by two sons, Larry Broussard Sr. and his wife, Cheryl of Crowley and Bobby Broussard of Kaplan; one daughter, Bonnie Baty and her husband, Jerry of Crowley; three sisters, Gertie Racca Morvant, Velma Jean Faulk, and Verna Maturin, all of Kaplan; twenty-seven grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Broussard; parents, Oday Racca and the former
Edia Duhon; three brothers; three sisters; and two grandchildren, Jessica Ann Broussard and Jeffery Allen Breaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, May 2, 2011 from 4p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Tuesday, April 3, from 8 a.m. until services.
