Preston John Broussard
July 17, 1917 — May 5, 2011
He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon Randy Hyde officiating the services.
Mr. Broussard was a loving father, grandfather and friend. He was also a very laid back man who enjoyed being with family and friends, as well as gardening and watching sports. A veteran of WWII, Mr. Broussard served his country in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his son, Jimmy Dale Broussard of Houston; sister, Rose Sellers of Abbeville; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his second wife, Enola Sonnier Broussard; first wife, Alice Marie Guidry Broussard; son, Preston John "P.J." Broussard; parents, Arista Broussard and the former, Rosa Breaux; and eleven siblings.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, May 6, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, May 7, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
The family would like to thank all who helped to care for Mr Broussard, especialy Mrs. Maxine Guidry and Mr. and Mrs. Don Duhon.
