Seva Marie Landry

Funeral
services will be held Friday, May
18,2007 at a 4:00 p.m.. Mass of
Christian Burial in St. Mary
Magdalen Catholic Church
honoring the life of Seva Marie
Landry, 87, who died May 17,
2007 at Eastridge Nursing Care.
She will be laid to rest at St.
Mary Magdalen Cemetery with
Father Kevin Bordelon officiating
the services.
Seva was a member of the
Third Order of Mt. Carmel, a
retired educator, she taught
school for 27 years in the
Vermilion Parish School system
and 3 years at Mt. Carmel. She
was a member of the Louisiana
Genealogy Association having
done extensive genealogy work.
She is survived by one
brother, Richard Landry of
Milton, Florida; three sisters,
Velma Landry of Abbeville, Laura
LaPlace and her husband Paul
of Abbeville and Mrs. Rose
Choate of Tennessee; several
nieces and nephews; great
nieces and great nephews; and
several great great nieces and
great great nephews.
She was preceded in death
by her parents, Sulie Landry and
the former Marie Belanger; one
brother, Joseph P. Landry; and
one nephew, Tommy LaPlace.
The family would like to
thank Hospice of Acadiana,
Eastridge Nursing Center staff
and her sitters, Althea Huntly
and Anitra Morris.
The family requests that
visiting hours be observed at
Vincent Funeral Home, 209
South St. Charles, Abbeville,
Friday, May 18th from noon until
3:45p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
