Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Monday, May 9, 2011 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Audrey May Vincent, 77, who died Friday, May 6, 2011 at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital.
She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Fr. Clint Trahan officiating the services.
Mrs. Vincent was a life long member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. Three years ago she moved to Sulphur to live with her daughter, where she became an active member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church of Sulphur, and belonged to a local rosary group who brought her so much joy and helped her adjust to the move. The family would like to thank Mary Jane Field and Anita Mitchel for all their help and support.
She is survived by her daughter, Kim Vollmer and favorite son-in-law David of Sulphur; five grandchildren, Jennifer Desormeaux of Dallas, TX, Eliot Vollmer and wife Gina of Lake Charles, Brittany Vollmer and fiance Jason Hendrickson of McKinney, TX, Michaela Gore and husband Matthew of Katy, TX and Katelyn Vollmer of Webster, TX; four great grandchildren, Dylan Vollmer of Sulphur, Mason Gore of Katy, TX, Madden Gore of Katy, TX and McKenna Gore of Katy, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oleus and Alice Gary Vincent; four brothers, Ewell Vincent, Horace Vincent, Willis Vincent and Wilson Vincent; and two sisters, Ella Mae Richard and Inez Karris.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, May 8, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 p.m. The family will reopen on Monday, May 9, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
