Roberta Veazey Granberry

April 7, 1924 — May 5, 2011

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Friday, May 13, 2011 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Roberta Veazey Granberry, 87, who died Thursday, May 5, 2011 at her residence.

She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Father Scott DesOrmeaux officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Daniel Duhon, Paul Duhon, Charles Duhon, Kyle Duhon, Paul Duhon, II and Jerrod Duhon.

She is survived by three sons, Daniel Duhon of Lafayette, Paul Duhon and his wife, Jeanette of Abbeville and Charles Duhon and his wife, Jennifer of Spring, TX; daugter, Rebecca Calkin of Kaplan; brother, Jacob Glen Veazey; eleven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by first husband, Louis Andrew Duhon, Sr.; second husband, Thomas S. Granberry; son, Louis Andrew Duhon, Jr.; father, Ulysse Veazey; mother Aline LeBlanc; seven brothers; and three sisters.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, May 12, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, May 13, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
