Edith St. Amant Dubois

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 12, 2011 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Edith St. Amant Dubois, 84, who died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Heart Hospital of Lafayette.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services.

She is survived by two sons, Michael A. Dubois and his wife Patricia of Portland, TN and Ronald James Dubois of Abbeville; one daughter, Charlotte Trahan and her husband Melvin of Bowling Green, KY; sister, Louise Sonnier; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis St. Amant and the former Alice LeBlanc; daughter, Alice Faye Marie Dubois; sister, Loritta Morvant; and two brothers, Alton St. Amant and Alex St. Amant.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, May 12, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
