Matile Baudoin Choate

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Friday, May 13, 2011 at a 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Matile Baudoin Choate, 82, who died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Michael Choate, Rylan Choate, Cody Soileau, Donald Stoute, Chris Meaux, and Scott Robin.

She is survived by daughter, Sharon C. Maak and her husband, John of San Antonio, TX; three sisters, Mable Meaux, Cecile Richard and Lucille LeBlanc, all of Abbeville; seven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Choate; parents, Charles Baudoin and the former Alida Frederick; two sons, Ronnie Choate and Jude Choate; and sister, Leona Broussard.

The family requests that any memorial donation be made to the local American Heart Association Chapter, they can be reached at 1-888-352-3824, ext. 7706 and for the loved ones that Miss Matt left behind, they offer words of encouragement from our Lord and
Savior, "Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted" Matthew 5:4, and from the book of Psalms, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds"... She will surely be missed.


The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, May 13, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
