Yolton Joseph Trahan

October 24, 1934 — May 11, 2011

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church honoring the life of Yolton Joseph Trahan, 76, who died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Vermilion Health Care Center.

He will be laid to rest at Leroy Cemetery with Rev. Gregory Simien officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Galton Trahan, Curvis Trahan, Eugene Trahan, Drake Cormier, Troy Gaspard, Wayne Melancon and Glenn Touchet.

He is survived by his wife, Hilda Mae Gaspard Trahan of Maurice; son, Ryan A. Trahan of Maurice; grandson, Drake Cormier of Maurice; two brothers, Curvis Trahan and his wife Gerrie of Gibson, LA and Galton Trahan and his wife Linda of Meaux; three nieces; and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Whitney Joseph Trahan and the former Telcide Marie Touchet.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, May 13, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Saturday, May 14, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
