Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2011 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Joseph Charles Milliman, 81, who died Friday, May 13, 2011 at Abbeville General Hospital.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Richard officiating the services.

JC was a Marine Corps Veteran; Alpha Co. of the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his children, Mona Hebert and husband Carl of Abbeville, Joey Milliman and wife Harriet of Grande Isle, Eddie Milliman and wife Karen of Abbeville and David Milliman of Abbeville; grandchildren, Kristina Adams (Jon), Adrienne Hebert, Jed Milliman, Joni Milliman, Marie Nell Taylor (Johnnie), Cassie Mullins (Brian), Ethan Paul Milliman and Joseph W. Milliman; great grandchildren, Lilly Brown, Andie Brown, Aiden Taylor, Carter Mullins, Griffin Mullins and Kelbi Lashare.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Darnella LeBlanc Milliman; parents, Onezzie and Celima C. Milliman; grandchildren, Chas Milliman and Andy Milliman; brothers, Douglas, Harry and Lawerence Milliman; and sisters, Lavenia Menard, Florence Dietz, Lillian O'Bryan and Beverly Carrier.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, May 15, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
