Alex "Bee" Duhon

July 14, 1924 — May 23, 2011

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Alex "Bee" Duhon, 86, who died Monday, May 23, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Elvie F. Duhon of Kaplan; one son, Bradley Duhon and wife, Maxine of Abbeville; one daughter, Sybil Duhon and companion, Guy Guidry of Kaplan; one sister, Anne Lou Duhon of Maurice; three grandchildren, Ryan Duhon of Lafayette, Jared Duhon of Abbeville and Angelyn Guidry of Kaplan; two great grandchildren, Carter Ryan Duhon and Eliza Duhon, both of Lafayette; and one step-granddaughter, Christina Badeaux of Abbeville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Enis Duhon and the former Claudia Marceaux; one son, Ronald Paul Duhon; and two brothers, Willis Paul Duhon and Lloyd Duhon.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, May 25, 2011 from 9 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
