Louise Sonnier Cole

March 7, 1925 — June 2, 2011

Abbeville— Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2011 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Catholic Church in Esther, honoring the life of Louise Sonnier Cole, 86, who died Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Kaplan Healthcare Center.

She will be laid to rest at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services. Pallbears and honorary pallbearers will be all of her grandsons.

She is survived by her husband, Wilbert Cole, Sr. of Abbeville; sons, Anthony Cole of Abbeville and Willard Cole of Erath; daughters, Veronica Thibeaux of Kaplan, Ann Dozier of Abbeville and Lois Osborne of Houston; a sister, Agnes Hebert of Gueydan; fifteen grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mary Granger Sonnier; son, Wilbert Cole, Jr.; daughters, Mary Cole, Bernadette Cole and Sheridan Levy; brothers, Leon and Dallas Sonnier; and sisters, Eunice Terry and Alfreda Cade.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Saturday, June 4, 2011 from 7:30 a.m. until time of services, with a rosary to be prayed at 9:00 a.m.
