Norma Dartez

May 6, 1945 — June 3, 2011

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Norma Dartez, 66, who died Friday, June 3, 2011 at Regional Medical Center of Acadiana. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.

She is survived by her husband, Audie Murphy Dartez of Kaplan; two sons, Paul E. Trahan and his wife, Melissa of Nunez and Alcee Trahan Jr. and his wife, Ashley of Maurice; two daughters, Brenda and her husband, Glen Fuselier of Kaplan and Shannon Hargrave and her fiance, Tim Touchet of Lake Arthur; two sisters, Marie Miller of Abbeville and Mary Ann Reed of Erath; two brothers, Otis Guidry of Lafayette and Harris Guidry of Abbeville; eleven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ella Guidry; one son, John James Trahan; and one brother, Larry Guidry Sr.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Saturday, June 4, 2011 from from 11 a.m. until services on Sunday, June 5, 2011. A rosary will be prayed Saturday evening at 7 p.m.
