Joseph “Joey” Lee Mott

November 17, 1978 — June 9, 2011

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Joseph Lee Mott, 32, who died Thursday, June 9, 2011 at his residence.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Mitch Gary, Colby "Bubba" LeBlanc, Chad Campbell, Corey Spell, Dustin Bertrand and Ryan Landry. Honorary pallbearer will be Kaleb d'Augereau.

He is survived by his four sons, Trevor Mott, Tre Mott, Tristyn Mott and Trentyn Mott; parents, Francis Lee Mott and the former Susan Marie Bertrand; sister, Michelle Mott; maternal grandmother, Ruby Bertrand; maternal grandfather, Loree Bertrand; fiance, Sherri LeBlanc; and godchildren, Kaleb and Ross d'Augereau.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph Evans Mott and the former Melba Lejeune.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Monday, June 13, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. The family will reopen on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
