David John Touchet

September 21, 1979 — July 3, 2011

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of David John Touchet, 31, who died Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Abbeville General Hospital.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon Randy Hyde officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Wayne Hebert, Brett d'Augereau, Kendall Duplantis, Brandon Labit, Malcolm d'Augereau and Jody Dubois.

He is survived by his four sons, Cade Touchet of Bossier City, Trent Touchet of Abbeville, Brennan Touchet of Abbeville and Avery Foster; two daughters, Kylie Touchet of Abbeville and Alexis Desormeaux of Erath; mother, Christine Touchet Labit and her husband Mike of Abbeville; sister, Crystal Duplantis of Abbeville; maternal grandmother, Carrie Schexnayder of Abbeville; and godmother, Mary LeMaire of Meaux.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lynward "Boo" James Touchet; paternal grandfather, Alpha Touchet and paternal grandmother, Elsie Touchet.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. The family will reopen on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
