Michael J. Gaspard

June 5, 1946 — July 15, 2011

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne Catholic Church honoring the life of Michael J. Gaspard, 65, who died Friday, July 15, 2011 at Abbeville General Hospital. He will be laid to rest at St. Anne Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services.

He is survived by one son, Scott Gaspard and his fiancée, Kelly Cormier of Kaplan; two daughters, Crystal Vidal and her husband, John of Seattle, Washington and Jennifer Gaspard and her companion, Tosha LeMaire of Kaplan; four grandchildren, Lacie Yanna, Luke Yanna, Jared Yanna and Coeyn Wise.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulysse Gaspard and the former Imay Harrington; and two brothers, Herman and Leland Gaspard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, July 18, 2011 from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Tuesday, July 19, 2011 from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
