Eurledine Lapoint Trahan

March 29, 1924 — July 18, 2011

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 21, 2011 at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Eurledine LaPoint Trahan, 87, who died Monday, July 18, 2011 at Heritage Manor of Abbeville. She will be laid to rest at St. Alphonsus Cemetery with Reverend Mike Sucharski, SVD officiating the services.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary T. Romero and her husband, Wilson of New Iberia and Judy T. Mire and her husband, Tony of Kaplan; five grandchildren, Marty Trahan of Maurice, John Trahan and his wife, Lori of Houston, Texas, Cheri Domengeaux and her husband, Ryan of Lafayette, and their mother, Judy Edwards, Ryan Romero and his wife, Shelley of Katy, Texas, and Kasy Mire of Maurice; and four great grandchildren, Jacob Domengeaux, Zachary Domengeaux, Ava Romero, and Callie Romero.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Trahan; son, John Trahan; her parents, Laodis Lapoint and Olita Pontiff Lapoint; four brothers, Harris, Simonet, Sidney, and Lurphy Lapoint; and six sisters, Anna Menard, Ena Luquette, Naomie Trahan, Noilia Meaux, Vernice Bourque, and Mary Louise Lapoint.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 6 p.m.; Thursday, July 21, 2011 from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
