He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers will be his sons, Roland Hebert and Richard Hebert; grandsons, Larry Primeaux, Mark Broussard, Harold Marceaux and Lonnie Duhon. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons.
The family would like to thank his sitters, Verian Bertrand, Christine Bourque, Kathleen Touchet, Charlene Broussard, Annie Hargrave, Rachelle Demette and Vickie Bertrand.
He is survived by his wife of 76 years, Louisette Richard Hebert; three sons, Raymond Hebert of Youngsville, Roland Hebert and his wife Velma of Abbeville and Richard Hebert and his wife Noella of Kaplan; five daughters, Ruby Primeaux and her husband Pervis of Abbeville, Rosa Belle Stansbury and her husband Lyman of Abbeville, Shirley Broussard and her husband Paul "Piggy" of Abbeville, Rita Mae Marceaux and her husband Rixby of Kaplan and Rena Duhon and her husband Larry of Maurice; twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Whitne Hebert, Sr.; mother, the former Lenora Trahan; step father, Thomas Frederick; one son, Renis Hebert; one grandson, Randy Primeaux; one brother, Evance Hebert; and one sister, Evlyn Delcambre.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Wednesday, June 13th from 2:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, June 14th from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
