Funeral services will be held Friday, June 15, 2007 at a 2:00 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Theresa Catholic Church honoring the life of Johnny Warren Gaudet, 70, who died June 13, 2007 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jude Primeaux, Timmy Harrington, Billy Matthews, Greg Broussard, Dwain Broussard, Brian Hebert and Rolen Broussard. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremiah Broussard, Logan Primeaux, Tyler Broussard and Andre' Hebert. Johnny served on the Vermilion Parish Police Jury for over 25 years. He was the owner and operated Town and Country Meat Market. He was also a cattle farmer. He is survived by his loving partner, Marietta Harrington; two brothers, Jerry Gaudet of Erath and Dennis Hebert of Winnie, Texas; two sisters, Linda Ann Tuohy of Nederland, Texas and Myrtle Poland of Winnie, Texas; nephew, Brian Hebert of Abbeville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Gaudet; mother, Vera Chargois Gaudet; wife, Laurence Gail Guidry Gaudet; and two brothers, Irving Gaudet and George Gaudet. Johnny was an avid hunter and loved to fish. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Thursday, June 14th from 2:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, June 15th from 8:00 a.m. until 1 :45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
