Patsy "Pat" Bell Lafleur

February 12, 1932 — July 23, 2011

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2011 at Kaplan Baptist Church honoring the life of Patsy Ruth Bell LaFleur, 79, who died Saturday, July 23, 2011 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Nunez Baptist Cemetery with Reverend Noah Langley officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Gaspard, Floyd Vincent, Martin Richard, Dwayne Reeves, and Baines Richard. Honorary pallbearers will be Payton and Andre Gaspard.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jasper "Buddy" LaFleur of Kaplan; two sons, Roger Dale LaFleur and his wife, Julie of Monticello, Arkansas, Baines "Benny" Richard and his wife, Toni of Kaplan; one daughter, Laura Jane Smith of Kaplan; three sisters, Lorena Daigle and Betty Arnold, both of Sulphur and Shirley Reeves of Kountze, Texas; one sister-in-law, Betty Bell of Orange, Texas; eight grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Zemon Bell and the former Aline LaFleur; one brother, Claude Bell and one son-in-law Preston Smith.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, July 24, 2011 from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a prayer service being held at 7 p.m.; Monday, July 25, from 8 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
