Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2011 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Brenda Ann Sonnier, 53, who died Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Associate Pastor Jimmy Richard officiating the services.

Brenda worked for the city of Abbeville for over 21 years.

She is survived by her brother, Albert J. Sonnier and wife Stephanie Adams Sonnier of Abbeville; nephews, Damon Schexnaider and wife Michele and their son, Cameron all of Kaplan and Albert J. Sonnier, Jr. of New Iberia; nieces, Winter Sonnier of Delcambre, Danna Sonnier of Abbeville and Olivia Sonnier of Abbeville; friends, Ricky Dietz, Darlene Loftin and Tanya Falcon.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alton Sonnier; mother, Marie Louisa Broussard Sonnier; sister, Linda Faye Sonnier Schexnaider and niece, Joleen Sonnier.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, July 28, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. The family will reopen on Friday, July 29, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
