Joseph E. "Joe" Miller

October 21, 1933 — July 30, 2011

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2011 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Joseph Edmond Miller, 77, who died Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. He will be laid to rest at Suire Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marie V. Miller of Forked Island; three sons, David Miller Sr. and his wife Linda, Ricky Miller and his wife Cathy and Charles Miller Sr. and his wife Chris all of Forked Island; one daughter, Bonnie Allen of Kaplan; two brothers, Lloyd Miller of Kaplan and Jessie Miller of Abbeville; 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Miller and the former Della Rung; three sisters and four brothers; and one great grandchild, Christy DeMette.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, July 31, 2011 from 12 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Monday, August 1, from 8 a.m. until services.
