Wilbert "Tate" Duhon

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Wilbert "Tate" Duhon, 71, who died Monday, August 8, 2011 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Greene Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.


He is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Germaine Duhon of Kaplan; two daughters, Tatum Duhon and her husband Jody LeBlanc of Breaux Bridge, Tracey Duhon and her husband Paul Dartez Jr. of Kaplan; three brothers, Alfred Duhon Jr. of Jennings, Albert Duhon of Lake Arthur and C.J. Breaux of Mamou; and seven grandchildren, Christian and Haley Broussard, Christian and Julien LeBlanc and Mallory, Brianna and Gabrielle Dartez.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Duhon and the former Elta Hargrave, two brothers, Philbert and Corbett Duhon and step-father Odey Touchet.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, August 8, 2011 from 5 p.m. until services; a rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening.
