Evie Campbell Menard

January 18, 1917 — August 12, 2011

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 14, 2011 at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Evie Campbell Menard, 94, who died Friday, August 12, 2011 at Eastridge Nursing Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.

She is survived by her daughter, Goldie Meaux and her husband Percy Meaux of Abbeville; three grandchildren, Becky LeBlanc of Abbeville, Mona LeBlanc of Maurice, and Kerry LeBlanc of San Antonio, Texas; four great grandchildren, Shawn LeBlanc of Kaplan, Rob Bares of Abbeville, Cade Perry of Maurice, and Kastan LeBlanc of San Antonio, Texas; and four great-great grandchildren, Julia and Emily LeBlanc and Lauren and Colin Stelly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aliar Menard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Saturday, August 13, 2011 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed in French at 1 p.m. and a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Sunday, August 14, 2011 from 10 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.

Ms. Menard's family would like to express heartfelt thanks to all the staff who cared for her at Eastridge Nursing Center.
